VaporDNA’s product brand known as Project Sub-Ohm appears to be a partnership with various manufacturers although this isn’t totally clear. As you can see by the name, these are devices for sub-ohm vaping plus accessories and swag if you’re into promotion by apparel. Browse the VaporDNA Project Sub-Ohm collection.
A section devoted to Project Sub-Ohm products contains over 70 items. These are mostly mods and tanks and we could be here all day in an attempt to peer closely at every listing, so we’ll focus on three: The Mutank Sub-Ohm Tank System Indulgence, S200 DNA 200 Box Mod, and flaskmaN SX350J 100W mod.
Mutank Sub Ohm Tank System (about $30)
This 22 mm Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomizer is the latest edition of their Mutank model by Project Sub-Ohm and Indulgence. Their two-post deck uses four 1.5-mm terminals and features a 5-ml sturdy glass tank with top-fill capacity.
Inside, a PEEK insulator maintains maximum heat. Building coils should be easy for the experienced coil builder on this 304 Stainless Steel deck but the customer can opt to swap pre-built Japanese organic cotton coils too. Try 0.3 ohms for up to 150W. Select Twisted (0.3 ohms), Clapton (0.5 ohms), or Quad Coils (0.2 ohms).
A wide bore Delrin tip stops you from getting burned with the help of heat dissipation. The silver-plated brass 510 pin enables flexible applications to Project Sub-Ohm and other brands of mod. You’ll know the real deal by its odd inner engravings in the shape of a face.
S200 DNA 200 Box Mod (roughly $170)
This is a 100% American product as you might have guessed by the $170 price tag. Chinese vape mods don’t cost this much, but that’s what you get for American quality from Evolv and Project Sub-Ohm.
This comes from the Project Square series using a DNA 200 PCB for temperature control and superior protection. This chip set is also 97% efficient and supports 0.1 ohms using TC coils. Firmware can be upgraded later when Evolv comes up with their next great innovations.
As for the mod frame, this is constructed from hardened aluminum into an ergonomic shape for handheld comfort. The S200 uses a 1300-mAh 3S Li-Po cell. Threading of stainless steel is sturdy, smooth, and won’t rust while a silver-plated contact pin is compatible with the Mutank RDTA.
Vent holes let out hot air from a mod that can operate at up to 200W and 600F. The DNA 200 PCB keeps an eye on temperature, voltage, resistance, and maintains a safe, efficient setup with a crisp OLED display. It’s big compared to many mods at over 90 mm tall but still a pocket-sized device.
flaskmaN SX 350J 100W Mod ($300)
This is serious money. Why would you pay that sum for a mod, USA-made or not?
Consider the facts. This Vapor Flask/Project Sub-Ohm combo provides a Yihi Chip, the SX350J-VF. This chip is precise and agile with up to 100W capacity supported by two 18650 batteries which you must add to your $300 bill (a little cheap of VaporDNA in my opinion given the price).
The flaskmaN supplies temperature control vaping accuracy and supreme safety within a curved frame resembling a whiskey flask. Its base is made from stainless steel as are threads and the firing button, but the main frame was milled from 6061 Billet Aluminum: aircraft-grade metal. This is covered in a black texture created by the anodization process which adds an element of comfort to light but cold metal.
There are multiple memory options and a 0.05-ohm resistance minimum using Temperature Control coils like Ni200. You’ll know the authentic, extremely limited edition SX350J by its red and black Colorway trim, engravings (flaskmaN and Project Sub-Ohm), and the curved flask-style format.
